UI/UX Designer

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to evolve and extend the user experience and visual design of our consumer facing mobile applications and to create a Web self-service portal for our advertising network. The ideal candidate is someone who is extremely passionate about creating delightful user experiences by modeling usage flows, creating mood boards, conducting focus groups, building beautiful visual assets, specifying intuitive screen layouts, and evaluating user feedback. In addition to being the primary hands-on driver, this person should be able to hire and manage outside design resources when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Own the user experience and visual design of Apptera’s mobile and Web-based product portfolio
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering on product requirements definition and implementation
  • Model user flows and create wireframes/storyboards
  • Create mood boards
  • Design and document screen layouts
  • Create visual assets and provide them to Engineering in all required formats
  • Conduct user focus groups
  • Evaluate user feedback
  • Hire/manage outside UI/UX resources as needed

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in UI/UX development
  • Experience in designing Web and/or mobile applications
  • An excellent eye for design (you should know of many examples of great Web and mobile user interfaces from which you can draw inspiration)
  • Photoshop mastery
  • Fluent in Illustrator, OmniGraffe, or other visual design and wireframing tools
  • A working knowledge of XHTML and CSS
  • iPhone and Android UI/UX design a huge plus
  • Must be passionate about investigating new UX/UI trends, techniques, and technologies and using them to keep Apptera’s products on the leading edge
  • Experience and preference for working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Good communication skills and proven ability to interact effectively with other team members

Partner Engineer

We are seeking a skilled solutions engineer and technologist to support Apptera’s strategic partners and third-party developers integrate with our mobile SDK and ad network API. In this critical role of Partner Engineer, you will help define and build custom solutions that maximize the value of Apptera’s capabilities. The Partner Engineer will also provide insight and feedback from partner engagements that will help our product and engineering teams extend the Apptera SDK and API. You will be a hands-on project driver and implementation expert that can communicate with our partners’ product managers and developers and earn their respect. You will also help craft and guide our developer support program. Finally, you will be instrumental in driving the adoption and evolution of the Apptera product portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand Apptera’s products, including their capabilities, architecture, and integration interfaces
  • Collaborate with Apptera partners in designing Apptera enhanced mobile and voice solutions.
  • Help make developers successful at embedding Apptera’s mobile SDK within their mobile applications or integrating with Apptera’s ad network API

Senior Manager of User Experience Development

The Senior Manager of User Experience Development is an experienced development manager who is passionate about user interaction and building user interfaces. This role is responsible for guiding and expanding a strong team of designers and developers charged with designing and building Apptera’s user interfaces, including Web self-service applications for advertiser and publisher ad provisioning, a mobile application SDK comprised of voice and visual ad units, and voice activated IVR applications. His/her primary goal is to fully understand Apptera’s business and product requirements and then lead the design and development of creative, fun, easy-to-learn graphical interfaces that user’s love. Finally, he/she must be a great communicator and hands-on contributor with a roll-up-the-sleeves mentality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with sales, ad operations, and product management to understand business and product requirements

The Mobile SDK Software Developer position is critical to executing and evolving Apptera’s mobile ad network strategy. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and testing Apptera’s portfolio of multi-modal ad widgets designed for smart phone and IVR applications.
